Stray Neurons Vol. 1 (intstrumental Album)

I spent most of 2011 focusing on my emceeing - which is definitely my main priority in music - but I also produce.  I hadn’t made beats in about 8 months when I started to dive into the crates around Christmas 2011. My initial intention was just to vibe out to some old tunes but my sampling ear came back out of nowhere, then boom a week later I had this set of beats and remixes on my hands. After being convinced by my friends and collaborators that heard early versions, I decided to go ahead and release my first instrumental project. Stray Neurons Vol. 1 is a mix of many different vibes, but my overall vision was to create a piece of music that is perfect for late night zoning/lounging. If you are feeling it help a dude out by spreading it - or if you are feeling really generous, “purchase” the album through bandcamp (http://sinapse.bandcamp.com/album/stray-neurons-vol-1) for whatever price you set.

This is a joint I put together in between working on projects. Produced by myself.

The final leak from Classics for Free Vol. 1 is produced by my homie Rawhead (http://rawhead.bandcamp.com/) from Albany/Glen Falls. We met while I was there on tour in summer 2011. There is an additional Rawhead track on the project and we have plans to work on a focused vinyl/digital release for 2012 featuring this jazzy styled yet raw combination.

One of my closest friends and collaborators in music is Emcee Sick of Pseudo Slang - the Chicago/Buffalo based Hip Hop collective known around the globe for their jazzy and undeniably classic vibes (www.pseudo-slang.com). This is a track we did during a pit stop on tour at my home studio. The track is produced by M.O.D. (www.youtube.com/user/themerchant2 deadlyhands.tumblr.com)

During summer 2011 I spent a month touring with Pseudo Slang (www.pseudo-slang.com) all the way from Virginia up to Portland, Maine with many stops along th way. It was a great experience overall. I met lots of amazing people and had too much fun rocking stages along the way. This is a track I did inspired by the nostalgia of my time on the road, produced by Les Braun (http://soundcloud.com/computersmusic). It will be on my free album dropping in late January 2012 - Classics for Free Vol. 1 along with two other tracks produced by my Swiss homie.

I’ll be releasing an LP in Fall 2012 produced by ClymaX - that is far down the road with many releases to come earlier, but we wanted to give people a really early teaser of what we are working on. This track “My Minds Clouded” was the first track we recorded and is/will be a regular in my live set.
